We don’t want you to lose your website.

Notice of Domain and Website Expiration

We don’t want you to lose your domains and websites.  That’s why we start sending you notices of your expiring domains at least 30 days before expiration. Another reminder will be sent 7 days before expiry, which will invite you to renew your domain(s) and also specify the expiry date(s).

For pending websites due to unpaid balance, you will receive at least 3 reminders to complete your purchase. A grace period of 10 working days will be given to settle your balance. A maximum of one month extension will be given for annual plans but termination will apply anytime after that. A notice will be posted on the website which will temporarily block website access and will be removed immediately after settlement.

It is important for you to keep your contact information accurate so that you'll receive these reminders. As a further safeguard, you should ensure that your email SPAM filters are set to accept emails from Velvet Web Solutions.

If you miss renewing your domain or website by the expiry date, don’t panic. There’s a grace period of 10 working days to renew your domain at a regular price, depending on your domain name and as agreed upon during website creation.  After that, you’ll have another 10 working days to pay a fixed Restoration Fee of $50, plus the renewal fee, before the name and website gets ready for unrecoverable deletion.

Note that Name servers are disabled 5 days after expiry, so if your website or email goes down, check if the domain has expired. Once renewed, the name servers will immediately become active again.
